Each machine gets a Pixelpay device and QR code. Players scan, choose how many plays they want, pay on their phone, and Pixelpay sends a coin pulse to your machine just like a physical coin drop - no changes to your game logic are required.
No. Pixelpay is completely app-free. Players scan the QR, pay through a secure mobile web page, and the machine activates in seconds.
Pixelpay works with most coin-operated arcade, claw, redemption, vending, and laundromat machines that accept a standard coin pulse. If a machine has a coin slot, it can usually be upgraded without replacing existing hardware.
Pixelpay has a one-time $150 activation fee per machine, plus a monthly software subscription starting at $5 per machine for basic analytics and $10 per machine for advanced data and ticket tracking.
Pixelpay devices need network access to receive payment confirmations and send analytics. Many operators use a shared connection in their venue with coverage for the game area, or use ours; we’ll help you decide the best setup for your location.
Operators can self-install using our hardware kits and documentation, or schedule a Pixelpay team installation visit for an additional service fee. Either way, we keep downtime as low as possible.
